A sterling silver bracelet with attitude! The bracelet measures approximately 4cm in width and makes a statement with its rectangular bars of acid etched silver. The bars are etched with a circle pattern, echoed by the large rings that make up the majority of the bracelet ensuring comfort and movement.
Acid etching is a tricky process that takes time. A sterling silver sheet is painted with a tar-like substance to prevent acid eating into the surface of the metal. Once this "resist" has dried, the silver is placed into an acid bath. The depth of the etched pattern depends on the strength of the acid bath and the time the metal is left to soak. We only create small sheets of any one design; once it has gone, it's gone!
