A slender sterling silver bracelet made up of narrow acid etched rectangular links. The etch pattern is random although dots and dashes feature strongly! The bracelet measures approximately .8cm in width and 17.5cm in length. A lobster clasp finishes the piece.
Acid etching is a tricky process that takes time. A sterling silver sheet is painted with a tar-like substance to prevent acid eating into the surface of the metal. Once this "resist" has dried, the silver is placed into an acid bath. The depth of the etched pattern depends on the strength of the acid bath and the time the metal is left to soak. We only create small sheets of any one design; once it has gone, it's gone!
