Teal Dichroic Glass Pendant

A medium rectangular hand fused dichroic glass pendant with a fine silver bail encased in glass. The teal dichroic glass base is a solid colour which makes for an eyecatching pendant.The pendant is available on a variety of chains.

Originally created for the aerospace industry, dichroic glass is made by vacuum depositing a special coating onto a glass sheet. The process creates a mirror like finish that reflects a specific color but when the glass is held up to the light, a different color is seen (transmitted) through the glass. Glass artists often refer to dichroic glass as "dichro".

A plate of dichroic glass can be fused with other glass in multiple firings. Due to variations in the firing process, individual results can never be exactly predicted, so each piece of fused dichroic glass is unique.
