Terms & Conditions 2016-10-13T18:43:50+00:00

Using or purchasing via our website means that you agree to the Terms and Conditions set out below. When placing an order with Silver Forge, you are making an offer to purchase the goods contained within that order.

We reserve the right to accept or decline that offer. All prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling .

1. Products

Product descriptions are as accurate as possible. Please note that we may alter specifications of our products from time to time. Each product is handmade and therefore unique. No two pieces will be identical. Patterns and colours vary.

The reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow. Whilst every effort has been made to portray items accurately, no liability is accepted for any perceived variations between website depiction and actual product.

1a. Commissions

All customer specific commissions (non-collection based works) will require a deposit. The amount will be agreed at the time of commissioning between Silver Forge and the purchaser. The deposit will be paid by the customer in advance of manufacture and will remain non-refundable in the event of order cancellation.

2. Prices and Payment

Prices are correct at the time of publishing. It may be necessary to change prices from time to time. Any price changes will be confirmed to you at the time of ordering.

Payment must be made in full before orders can be released. Goods remain the property of Silver Forge until payment is received in full. Payments for all international orders shall be paid in (£) UK Pounds Sterling. Import duties and taxes are to be paid by the purchaser.

In the event of having to re-present a cheque payment or credit card payment that is in arrears, Silver Forge understands and will exercise the statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if payment is not made according to Silver Forge agreed terms.

3. Liability

If a product arrives damaged or a mistake has been made with an order, we will repair or replace (at our discretion) the product at no additional expense to the customer.

We accept no liability for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or for any delay in doing so or for any damage/ defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. It is the customer’s responsibility to check products carefully and report any problems as soon as possible after receipt of the goods.

No liability will be taken for visible defects identified after this period. Silver Forge reserves the right to change the prices or technical specifications of the products and within the website at any time without notice.

Silver Forge accepts no liability for errors or omissions contained in the website or resulting from the misuse of any of the information provided.

4. Lead Time

Commission items are made individually to order and therefore lead times vary. Lead times for each product will be confirmed at time of order.

Please note that as all products are hand-crafted and demand varies depending on the time of year lead times may be extended.

Please order well in advance if you require delivery for a specific date. All items in a single order will be dispatched together and therefore the item with the longest lead time will dictate the delivery date of all items. International deliveries will incur an extra charge for post and packaging.

5. Cancellations

You have the right to amend or cancel your order within 48 hours after the acknowledgement of order has been communicated. We reserve the right to charge 100% of the cost of the product should cancellation occur after 48 hours.

The purchaser has the right to reject and cancel goods received within 7 days of the receipt of goods. Where goods are ‘special’ orders i.e. commissions or an item specifically made for the purchaser, the right of cancellation does not apply unless the fault is due to Silver Forge in which case the cost of goods will be refunded.

All products made to the customer’s specification and therefore “personalised” as recognised by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 may not be returned unless faulty.

Returns must be notified by email, giving original descriptions, date of order and contact details. Returns must be received by Silver Forge within 21 days of original despatch.

Refunds will be made within 30 days of the re-receipt of goods, in their original condition and packaging, less £5 cover for original post and packaging. (£10 post and packaging for international customers)

8. Privacy

Silver Forge respects the privacy of the individual. We will never pass on your details to any third party unless specifically requested by you to do so. We hate spam as much as you do and will not contact you unless you indicate that you want us to.
Let’s hope other companies follow suit!
