The shop was closed while at Westmorland County Show

The weather turned out to be wetter than predicted earlier in the week and downpours soon had the mud appearing. Fortunately, Westmorland Show grounds have spent a huge amount of money and effort on hard track roads so getting around was still reasonable.

This is a fantastic local show that drawers thousands of visitors each year, and is always well worth a visit. This year was no different, with traditional wrestling, carriage riding and agricultural events aplenty. The rain didn’t seem to affect the proceedings much and the stalls and tents were packed.

Getting a car onto the show grounds afterwards was a bit of a challenge but the traffic marshals did a great job and despite having to move hundreds of cars, trailers and other things, it all went very well.

Good to see Lancaster and Cumbria Fire Services there too!
